Riata Ranch relocated in 2014 to Three Rivers California and since then we have been able to expand our outreach. We have a commitment to growing and strengthening the program to leave a legacy to those who will participate after us. Being a great organization is wonderful, but the longevity of the organization must out last the current leadership. We believe in this organization and desire for it to remain strong for future generations.
We are a nonprofit 501 (c) 3 tax exempt status #43-1982710, donations are tax deductible to our partners.
Riata Ranch is in need of financial support to meet the obligations of providing its services. We are seeking yearly, quarterly and monthly donors to help meet our objectives. We are looking for financial partners who not only want to invest in the Riata legacy, but help to see it continue. Our program speaks for itself and with the accomplishments of Riata participants
All the fencing on the property is over 40 years old and needs upgrading. Currently it is all electric fencing, but we want to change that to wood, cable or barb wire. The project is divided into 3 phases. First, the front pastures as you drive in is the first phase. The second phase is the back pastures. Then the third phase is the turn out pens.
We have a covered multi use barn. It needs new lighting for events night riding, gutter upgrades, new shade cloth and our container we use for checking in for public events and the sale of merchandise needs upgrades as well.
To help keep dust and mud to a minimum, a load of gravel for the driveway and entrance will not only be practical but will enhance the overall look as you drive into the ranch.
All three of our riding arenas need new ground footing for riding and lessons.
To honor those individuals and businesses who choose to support Riata Ranch, we wish to create a public space to recognize them in perpetuity.
Chad Nicholson was an instrumental partner in helping Riata Ranch take the next steps forward in the new phase of the program under the direction of Jennifer Nicholson. We feel that there will great interest from those who knew Chad to fund a walking trail and seating area to the flagpole located at highest point on the ranch. It will be another offering for those who visit the ranch.
Part of our safety equipment needs is to provide riding helmets for students and clients. We need 20 helmets to full fill our needs. The new helmets can be adorned with the logo of the company or individual who would fund this program need.
We would like to put up an arch, add a gate, solar lights along the driveway, and general clean up. This also is a naming right project.
Our facility is need of upgrades to better serve our students and clients. We are currently seeking individuals to fund a project of which we would then name in their honor.
To add another educational piece to our offerings we have garden beds and an orchard that needs some upgrading. We will have volunteer gardeners help maintain and educate the public on growing and maintaining organic produce.
We are always looking to improve our riding areas. We would like to increase the size of our round corral and make it permanent fencing and cover it so that we can ride rain or shine.
We need to start looking for a new truck to haul our horses. Currently we have 2011 Dodge Ram with over 300,000 miles. A new or used vehicle is a need that we need to start exploring.
